In 5 years Ive had 6 surgeries of various sorts, I have problems with the GH and the AC joint. Despite all this I generally recover quite well without complication. I have arthritis, and my cartilage is fading away.
I have found that Cortisone shots, do not work for me in my joints. I have been on pain meds for 5 years. The meds work sometimes, but good enough to make work bearable.
I have chronic shoulder pain that gets worse over time. And if they fix something, then it gets better, and goes back to worse, kinda a viscous cycle.
Now I don't want a replacement really, but I also dont want a life where I will have god knows how many arthroscopies just to keep the shoulder together.
So whats left? Is there anything else worth a try that may help, or something not as invasive as a replacement, that may be an option considering my age(early 30s). I can't imagine being on pain meds the restof my life, Id prefer not, but it seems like the only road.
