Hey everyone, I couldn't find a particular forum to post this on, but I couldn't not share this information. I recently began experiencing some intense pain in my shoulder, and although I have yet to see the doctor (I've been busy and they're not open on weekends!) I have been treating my pain with heat therapy patches. I happened to find a coupon for a dollar off ThermaCare HeatWrap, so I got one of those, tailored specifically for the neck, wrist and shoulder, and a pack of CVS brand packs for the same purpose. I first used the ThermaCare patch overnight (which it says you aren't supposed to do), and I couldn't particularly feel that it was hot against my skin, but it felt hot from the outside and I woke up with almost no pain at all. The only downside was that they way the patch is made and the place where I felt the pain, I had to adhere it directly to my underarm and it hurt coming off. The second day I used the CVS brand patch, which is basically the same thing as the ThermaCare but comes in a rectangular shape and had more adhesive, but I didn't/it wasn't large enough to adhere it under my arm. It worked equally as well I would say, but the downside was that it did have more adhesive that got stuck on my skin and was slightly uncomfortable to remove. In both cases, the patches are air activated, and you can wear them under clothes. In fact, I could actually feel the heat through my shirt and even through my wool winter coat, so I know it's working! I wore both patches over night (which they warn not to do! Beware!) and I was fine, but be careful of this. If you are looking for a cheaper option, the CVS brand patches work just as well, but the ThermaCare patch had a shape more tailored for the shoulder. More info when I use more patches!
