instability open surgery 4x
For the past 7 years iv been dealing with shoulder instability. In both shoulders i can feel them dislocate and sublux. My left shoulder is way worse than my right. At times my left shoulder will stay out for days, weeks, and this time A MONTH!!! Iv been to the ER to have them try and put it back in. After being sadated, when i wake up i come to the sad realization that my shoulder is still out and it wont stay in. I have had four OPEN surgeries for it, and recover fine for about 3 months. After that, my shoulder seems to loosen up again and start to dislocate again. For those of you who have this, you know it is EXREMELY painful. I have been on alll types of meds for pain (narcotics, antinflamitories, etc.) and have now gotten an ulcer in my stomach because of them. Being only 21 its hard to go through this. Im almost out of hope. But i cant imagine that there is no cure for this. I know someone out there has had a similar problem and has had some success with these surgeries. It has completely taken over my life. I had to drop out of high school and be home schooled, i cant get a job with a disability like this, and now being in college its hard to focus when im in so much pain. My last hope is to see Dr. Peter Millett out in Colorado. Im from Key West Florida, so its way out of the way, but im hoping it will be completely worth it.PLEASE HELP!
