4th sugery Open Capsular Shift

After a fall down a flight of stairs I began to suffer from instability. This howerver, was not diagnosied immediately and instead of treating my shoulder for instability I was treated for the ac joint sepeartion I had. The first 2 surgries delt with the removal of the ac joint and debrievemnt. The third surgery is the one to warn you against having and that is a theraml capsualry shrinkage to tighten the capsul. It didn't work and now I am recovering from the 4th the open capsular shift....a slow progress and very painful. If anyone has done rehab for this procedure let me know about it and what I have in store. Also the scar is long 6" and very hard and raised...any ideas on how to smooth it out? Drop me a note..thanks...Donna
