Arthroscopic Acromioplasty

Hi, My name is Amber and I am a seventeen year old female. I am very athletic and I played a lot of softball which led to a bad shoulder. I went to months and months of physical therapy and had mri's and x-rays done. I was finally scheduled for arthoscopic surgery. I got through it ok and it turns out I had torn cartilage all over in my shoulder joint that was causing all the pain. It was right below my rotator cuff and so I had a lot of weakness in the shoulder. I am ten days post-op and I go in two days to get my stitches out and find out about more physical therapy. All and all, I think it's fixed and I am glad that I went ahead with surgery.
