calcific tendonitis to the shoulder

In November I underwent surgery to my legs. I woke up from this surgery with a VERY painful shoulder. I KNEW that they injured me while moving me from one table to the other. My shoulder hurt worse than the 14 incisions on my legs. I went through therapy and it has not helped. The Dr. said I need surgery, but I don't want to go through it. I am in a LOT of pain at times, especially if I try to move in a backward direction with my arm. Has anyone ever had calcific tendonits in their shoulder? Will it go away eventually? I just don't want a 4th surgery on my body in less than a year.
