os acromiale Lifting with a quick jerk, I heard a tear like a heavy piece of fabric and incredible pain combined with inability to lift arm from side. X-rays=0,then therapy w/little or no use of right arm and returned to work full tilt after 7 weeks. Pain in right side of neck from bottom of jaw down across top of shoulder down arm with alot in forearm. Pain increased to intolerable, to Orthopod. MRI showed 15mm x 12mm supraspinatus cuff tear. Operation = open acromioplasty, fixation of the anterior acromion, subacromial bursa, and exploration of the rotator cuff. Surgeon says no cuff tear. Dr. who read MRI says he still sees a cuff tear and recommends a arthrogram to verify no tear exists. I am 43 year old blue collar guy with a right arm unable to lift 4 weeks after surgery. Anyone with failed MRI or like situation, I would welcome discussion of your surgery/recovery detail.
